Israeli security forces operating in West Bank kill terrorists, arrest 18
More than 4,000 terrorist suspects were arrested in West Bank since the start of the war
Israeli security forces launched operations overnight in the West Bank, resulting in more than a dozen arrests and several terrorists neutralized, according to a statement Monday.
Firefights are still going on, the statement said, with 18 arrested so far throughout the West Bank.
In an operation in the area of Far'a, between Nablus and the Jordan River, one terrorst was killed in a joint effort by the Israel Defense Forces and Border Police.
Three wanted men were arrested and explosives were destroyed in the town. Armed men opened fire on the Israeli forces, resulting in a terrorist killed and several others wounded. Operations are ongoing.
In the towns of Fuqua, Rummanah, and Danaba, Israeli forces arrested four wanted suspects and eliminated an armed terrorist.
In Beta and Dura, Israeli forces arrested three wanted terrorists. Another wanted man was arrested in Tarqumiyah and confiscated weapons.
In Qalqilia, Israeli security forces confiscated two guns. In the villages of Tel and Zawata, three more wanted men were arrested. In Beitunia and Rammun, two wanted persons were arrested and weapons were confiscated.
There were no casualties to Israeli forces.
Since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, some 4,150 wanted terrorists have been arrested throughout the West Bank, approximately 1,750 of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.
