The Gaza-based terrorists of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) on Friday fired two rockets on southern Israel, triggering alert sirens in Ashkelon and the environs. 

Both rockets were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome anti-missile shield.
